Winter Solstice is here and the year's coming to an end. The nights are their longest, the days the shortest. This time of year stillness creeps in along with the darkness. It can be so easy to loose track of time, intentions, and self. Even more so, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed or perhaps lacking as we try to maintain our day to day routines.
Ayurvedically we more than midway through the season known as Vata (air). Where imbalance is at a high and we've been feeling unsure and indecisive. You may still be feeling a little "spun" with the holidays and the social calendar likely full.
The darkness drives in earlier these days making it feel like time is slowing down, but somehow everything is happening all at once.
You're not alone, we're all feeling it.
The constant reflecting on what's occurred over the last year, while be jolted back into present day reminded of something on your "to do" list. Well we're here to remind you that the past is the past and those lessons have been learned. You are here in the present with another chance to keep going for it!
So as well close the year, look forward, not back. You've made it soooo far and done more than you expected. Now is the time for clarity, now is the time to embrace your goals. Maybe your needs are to focus on your goals or your goals are to focus on your needs. Either way, you can't lose!
